Master Edward Ng was born in Guangdong , China , and was a student of Grand Master Chan Hon Chung in the late 1960s. He has studied Hung Gar kung fu for over 40 years and Yang Style tai chi for over 30 years. In 1973 he immigrated to the U.S., and in 1975 he began studying Yang style Tai Chi from Master Yi Tung Ho; at which time, he graduated with an engineering degree at California State University in Fresno. He continues to live in California with his wife Irene. Despite owning his own structural engineering firm, he still finds time to teach willing students. Master Ng has been an excellent mentor as well as a superb teacher. Sifu Dan “Sifu Dan” (Brett Daniel Shehadey) has studied Martial arts for over 11 years. This includes Karate, Tae Kwan Do, Hung Gar, and Yang Tai Chi. He received the title of black sash in Hung Gar by his Master Edward NG, in California . His method of teaching is strictly one-to-one, which is how he was originally trained. Staying clear of competitions and large schools, he has made his martial accomplishments through individual achievement, and passes his teaching on as that of self-enrichment. It is also the main tenet of his to grow and mature with his students and make their needs the real focus. He now teaches in the Northern Virginia Area. |
